Beppi Juvenil are all-year barefoot ankle boots for older kids from the Portuguese brand Beppi. The upper combines smooth and suede-effect synthetic, with a reinforced toe and heel in more durable suede and a contrasting dark grey textile collar around the ankle.

They fasten with laces and an elastic tightening loop at the ankle, and the cuff is secured with a velcro strap. Your child doesn't need to untie and retie the laces every time, you just open the strap.

They are a good choice for school trips and outdoor play at break time. The sturdier sole with a more pronounced tread grips better on mud and roots than the smoother sole on models for younger kids.

FAQ

1. Does my child need to know how to tie laces?
   No. The laces are tied once to fit, and after that the boots go on and off using just the velcro strap on the cuff. This is especially handy for kids who want to put their shoes on themselves.
2. Are they suitable off the pavement, for example in the woods?
   Yes, the sole has a deeper tread than lower Beppi models and grips noticeably better on rough terrain.
3. Can I buy the same model in another colour?
   Yes, we also offer the Juvenil in a pink version. You will find it in the similar products section below.
4. How do I know when the shoe is too small?
   The most reliable way is to take out the insole and have your child stand on it. There should be at least a centimetre of space between the big toe and the end of the insole.
5. Is the Juvenil waterproof?
   No. The upper copes with light rain and wet grass, but the boot is not designed for puddles or deeper mud. Neither the synthetic nor the suede has a waterproof membrane.
