Walking, Movement and Health Stories and Brands Podcast naBOSo
Physiotherapist Bc. Edita Prošková chatted with us about why she focuses specifically on feet, why barefoot shoes aren’t just a trend, and when it’s time to see a physiotherapist.
Edita Prošková is a physiotherapist and podiatry specialist who, in her practice in Roudnice nad Labem, focuses on foot care for both children and adults. She deals with flat feet, bunions, heel spurs and other musculoskeletal issues linked to how the feet function. Alongside working with patients, she makes custom orthopaedic insoles, uses taping and exercises with sensorimotor aids.
Edita is a well-known advocate of barefoot footwear and a natural approach to movement. She regularly runs talks and workshops on healthy development of children’s feet and how footwear can contribute to deformities. She educates parents and professionals alike, and isn’t afraid to speak openly about myths around foot care.
In this podcast, we don’t focus on one single topic. Instead, we talk about her journey into physiotherapy, what sets her apart, when there’s still time to address problems (and when there isn’t), how barefoot shoes work, what’s true about “health shoes”, and what Edita’s professional goals are.
