Children Barefoot Walking, Movement and Health Podcast naBOSo
In this podcast, Jirka Souček from naBOSo asks Míša Voltrová (aka Dětská fyzio máma) questions about healthy development of children’s feet.
This time, our podcast invitation was accepted by paediatric physiotherapist Míša Voltrová, also known as Dětská fyzio máma. In her practice, she uses both the Bobath concept and the Vojta method, and she specialises mainly in children from birth to three years old. Together with Jirka Souček, she talked not only about when and why it’s a good idea to visit a physiotherapist, but above all focused on healthy child development.
Thanks to Míša, you’ll understand why it’s so important to watch for symmetry of movement in toddlers, and up to what point asymmetry can still be completely normal. You’ll also get a clearer idea of why a child shouldn’t skip any developmental stage. After that, Míša focuses mainly on walking and little feet: she answers why children love going barefoot so much, and advises when it’s time to buy the first shoes — something you definitely don’t need to rush.
