A dual-layer block for cleaning nubuck and suede leather. One side is crepe, the other rubber, and each does something different. The crepe lifts heavy dirt and matted areas, whilst the rubber cleans minor marks and brushes up the nap, so your shoes don't look worn and shiny.
Use it dry—no water, no foam. Work in short strokes in one direction, like rubbing out a pencil mark. Dirt collects directly on the block, and when it gets clogged, wash it in warm soapy water and leave to dry. It'll last several seasons.
Don't use it on smooth leather. That's cleaned with a cloth and cream—the block would leave a dull patch.
This one is from the Collonil Classic range and is dual-layer, crepe plus rubber. We also carry Collonil Cleaner Classic and Carbon Lab Nubuk Suede Cleaner from the newer Carbon range. If you're not sure which to choose, this is the universal starting point: it handles both heavy and light dirt and doesn't need any additional product.
It works best paired with a brush. The block lifts dirt from the surface itself, then the brush evens out the nap and gets into stitching and around the sole.
