BEPPI Casual Boot Baby is an all-season ankle boot for little walkers from Portuguese brand Beppi. The upper is made from smooth synthetic leather and the ankle is trimmed with a knitted collar in the same colour. Two velcro straps make fastening simple.

They're suitable for spring, autumn and mild winter - typically as first autumn footwear for nursery, when low trainers are no longer enough for morning dew and fallen leaves, but insulated winter boots aren't yet needed.

   The upper will handle brief rain, dew or wet grass, but they're not designed for mud or puddles - the synthetic material doesn't have a waterproof membrane.
2. Does the boot stay on the ankle when running and climbing?
   The higher cut and two independent velcro straps hold the heel better than low trainers, which parents especially appreciate when their child is still learning to walk on uneven terrain.
3. Can I buy the same model in a different colour?

4. How do I know when the boot is too small?
   The most reliable way is to remove the insole and have your child stand on it - the big toe should still have at least a centimetre of space to the end of the insole.
5. Can the boot handle frosty days?
   No, for harsh frost or snow it lacks insulation and a waterproof sole. Casual Boot Baby is for spring, autumn and days around freezing, for real winter you need insulated winter boots.
